Beaufort Volunteer Artillery Company under Col. Joseph Glover. In 1779, under Col. Skirving. 1780 Lt. Colonel commanding Upper Granville County Regiment. 1781, promoted to Colonel, attached to Marion's Brigade, to operate between Charleston and Savannah. After John Barnwell was made a Brigadier General in September of 1781, Harden resigned in disgust during November of 1781.
