From Newberry District. First under Col. Thomas Fletchall - soon Fletchall was a Loyalist. Then, a Lt. Colonel in Spartan Regiment. Then, a Lt. Colonel under Col. John Thomas, Sr. in Spartan Regiment. Later a Lieutenant in SC 3rd Regiment. 1780, joined the British, then took his entire company back to Col. Thomas Neel (New Acquisition District Regiment).
