First, a Private. Moved around a lot. Probably sent out as a detachment from the Charles Town District Regiment under Maj. Alexander Moultrie and Col. Maurice Simons in 1779. Detached to support BG Thomas Sumter in 1780, then BG Francis Marion 1780-1781, then Lt. Col. Frederick Kimball 1781, Col. William Bratton 1781, and Lt. Col. William Washington 1781.
