SC Archibald McDonald Colonel Kingstree Regiment 1780 1783 aka McDonald's Regiment of Militia (Williamsburg Township). Established in early 1780, under BG Alexander McIntosh. POW at the Fall of Charleston, on parole for a considerable time. His Regiment was attached to Marion's Brigade in August of 1780 with command given to Lt. Col. Hugh Horry, and he resumed command of it after his exchange was effected in early 1781.
SC Adam McDonald Major SC 1st Regiment 1776 1777 Promoted from Captain to Major 9/16/1776. He resigned his commission on 4/22/1777. He was killed in 1777 (one source says December of 1778).
